The quartet is invited to come to the FAME’S Institute in Skopje / Macedonia to perform the Sinfonia project: Artvark combined with a 17 piece string orchestra and percussionists. This time not with the musicians from Sinfonia Rotterdam, but with top talent students from all over Europe. Conrad van Alphen (South Africa), the founder and conductor of Sinfonia will lead this project as well. Rehearsals start the 3rd of July and the open air concert will take place Saturday the 6th of July in the courtyard of a beautiful historical Ottoman building: the Old Bazar od Suli An, now a centre of the arts.
Besides four original Artvark compositions, Florian Magnus Maier and Martin Fondse also wrote new work especially for this line-up.
