The 11th of September 2026, Artvark releases their new album ‘Four Fathers’, the second chapter in their trilogy and the follow-up to their acclaimed album ‘Mother of Thousand’. For two decades, Artvark has approached the saxophone quartet as a living organism that stretches musical boundaries. The group is constantly moving towards something more fluid: modern expressive art music, rooted in jazz, minimalism, cinematic composition, sound design, and contemporary classical music.
For the special release production in LantarenVenster (11/09/2026), Artvark is joined by an artistic team with expertise across multiple disciplines. Multidisciplinary artist and concept developer Eric Magnée, scenographer Thyrza Coenraad, lighting designer Wijnand van der Horst and sound designer Nikki Rutten add an extra dimension to the performance. Together, they create an immersive, multi-sensory experience that once again explores Artvark’s central question: how far can the world of four saxophones reach?
