Artvark Saxophone Quartet & Claron McFadden
In perfect harmony, somewhere between jazz and classical music, Artvark and McFadden form a quintet inspired by texts about life, described from the female perspective.
“In lots of areas of our society, even in the Arts, most of the time the male perspective on things is projected. In this program, Artvark & Claron want to invite themselves and the audience to listen to some different angles.”
McFadden selected an interesting and colourful shade of philosophical, spiritual and humorous texts by women throughout history as a starting point for this versatile programme.
American Claron McFadden is a celebrated and versatile soprano. She graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, in 1984.
